IC RULES
IC RULES ↴
The following can be found posted in every major room of the facility; it's typed and unsigned, and kept mounted in a steel frame, behind bulletproof glass.
This is a training exercise, to be experienced by all individuals under consideration by Graceside Preparatory Academy; it's designed to further leadership skills and encourage initiative-taking and trust-building. Those taking part shall be hereafter referred to as Participants; the exercise shall be overseen by at least one individual, hereafter referred to as the Conductor.
Protocol to ensure successful exercise completion is as follows:
1. All Participants will live a communal lifestyle within this facility's walls, with no time limit on the duration of their stay. All Participants' needs will be met for the duration of the exercise, to the best of the facility's ability.
2. The hours between 22:00 and 07:00, as designated by the clock in the foyer, are considered "night time." During night time, some areas of the facility are off-limits to Participants; familiarize yourselves with these locations.
3. Sleeping is only permitted in the rooms prepared for all Participants in the dormitory area. Anyone found to be in violation of this rule will be punished accordingly.
4. Participants are encouraged to investigate and utilize the facility to their liking.
5. Violence against the Conductor is forbidden, unless a Participant is given explicit permission from the Conductor to engage.
6. Violence against other Participants is permitted, with no particular restrictions on your actions.
7. The death of a Participant has potential to end the exercise; should a Participant wish to terminate the exercise early, they have only to ensure that someone dies without the guilty party being discovered.
8. Additional rules may be added if necessary, at the Conductor's discretion.
9. One way or another, all Participants are expected to take responsibility for their actions.
10. All private conversations between Participants and the Conductor - be they written or otherwise - are subject to a confidentiality agreement. The Conductor will not publicly disclose details of any private conversations with him, nor will he confirm or deny them in conjunction with any Participant's name.
11. Participants may submit petitions to the Conductor to be considered. One petition may be sent per week; any beyond that will be discarded. The Conductor reserves the right to veto anything that he cannot or will not provide or enforce - but generally speaking, petitions that are submitted with a majority of the remaining Participants' support will be considered.
12. Clothing is mandatory for all Participants while in public areas of the Academy (i.e., anywhere outside of the dormitory rooms). The only exception to this is the courtroom, and only then during wound checks.
13. Removal or destruction of doors in the Academy - including the doors to the dorms, in use or otherwise, and the doors to all of the facility-provided rooms to be used at your leisure and for your convenience - is explicitly forbidden.
14. No livestock or other animals may be brought into the courtroom. Anyone found to be in violation of this rule will have the animal(s) confiscated and punishment will be administered.
15. No weapons, bladed or otherwise, may be brought into the courtroom. Anyone found to be in possession of a weapon, or otherwise in violation of this rule, will be punished.
16. Steak knives are a privilege and not a right. While the Conductor reserves the right to revise his decision on the matter, your steak knife privileges have been revoked for the duration of the exercise and they will not be restocked.
17. Occult rituals are explicitly forbidden to be performed within the Academy. This includes, but is not limited to:
• any and all attempts at necromancy
• any and all attempts at placing the spirits of the deceased in other vessels, willing or otherwise
• any and all attempts to summon demons (or demonic entities)
• any and all attempts to summon deities (or other holy entities)
• bathing in the blood of the innocent, human or otherwise, for any reason at all
• ritual blood sacrifice, human or otherwise
• séances or any other attempts to communicate with the dead
Anyone found to be in violation of this rule will be punished accordingly.
18. No flash powder, flashbangs, cameras with flash photography functions or other devices designed to emit overly bright light may be brought into the courtroom. Anyone found to be in violation of this rule will be punished.
19. The creation of incendiary or explosive devices – including but not limited to the aforementioned flashbangs and flash powder, handmade explosive devices (including petrol bombs/Molotov cocktails and grenades of any sort), and flamethrowers (improvised or otherwise) – is explicitly forbidden.
